It depends on the event and the list of services requested
How did you get started in this business?
I have always loved to have parties, mid career i switched from working for the planners to being the planner.....
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked from Palm Beach to Fisher Island. Many celebrities, Ft. Lauderdale for professional athletes, Jupiter Island for CEO's, and the neighbor next door. It does not matter what type of client, they are the most important person when planning their event!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My favorite is we celebrated Burt Reynolds at the annual JTAA Christmas Parade this year. It was a mammoth event and went off without a hitch. We themed the weekend Smokey and the bandit. The Snowman 18 wheeler, 25 Black Trans - Am vehicles, 3 Buford T. Justice cars and plenty of characters!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Always make time for a face to face consultation. You must have chemistry to work together. Be clear on wants and needs and TRUST the person you choose.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Their budget! Unfortunately many customers do not realizr the cost of things. It is not until they meet with an event planner that the reality is clear. Do some research before contacting a professional, this way when you are discussing the functions, you will have a better understanding of costs.
