What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When the customer inquiries, we proceed to send a quote, the customer checks it and agrees with it or asks for changes, we proceed to make the changes and provide the customer with the menu, then they make their selections of the menu (we always makes suggestions) and then the customer pays 50% upfront to hold our services for the date, the day of the event the customer is responsable to pay the rest once services are rendered.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i Studied Culinary arts in Venezuela, when graduated traveled to Argentina and studied Chocolate and dessert making, then headed back to Venezuela where i worked on a reknown Peruvian restaurant, until i started my own catering business back in 2009.

Ask for recommendations
Dont look for prices, look for quality,
Enjoy empathizing with the planner/caterer, whichever service they are offering, make sure that you enjoy working with them, that they are polite, take the time to explain, pick the person that makes you feel confortable and gains your trust
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Depending of the service, the responsable party should be clear and explain everuthing regarding the service they are offering. For cateres they shouls talk about etiquete, portions, flavors, allergies, etc
