I am jikssa Mogga, Professional Chef experienced caterer and business owner. My cooking experience extend back to my ethnic roots (Africa) as a child admiring the art of cooking while honing my passion to pursue a reputable culinary carreer. Through hard work i have more than 20 plus years professional/private culinary industry experience as a coporate and personal chef.
Furhermore, I have learned the importance of being an effective communicator, efficient executor of preparing customized menu and/ or cuisines and I strongly believe in offering clients a premium grade of goog tasting food presented at a mastery standard. in addition, food presentation, in my opinion, is an accurate representation of my genuine passion for food and the culinary industry holistically.
I am proficient in preparing diverse cultural dishes, health conscious dietary and home-style meals along with mid to large-level catering events

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, at Jikssa Catering (JC) we believe that all customers should be serviced at the highest level, especially new customers. We strongly believe in the power of " first impressions," however, it's our goal to ensure all customer experiences are impressive.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of JC's chefs and cooks have intimate culinary and customer service industry skills. My culinary arts experience as head Chef; extend from Ethiopia, Toronto and Dubai in various businesses from hotels and major cooperations to private catering events. Our food quality and presentation is reflective our vast culinary industry experience .

Yes, we do have a general price list. Each customer requests are different as well as every event, therefore, we do offer customized packages during the consultation process.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always loved the art of cooking and bringing smiles to the faces of hungry people!Over the years, the demand for private catering events became so high it compelled me to pursue my entrepreneurial endeavors as a restaurant owner/ personal chef.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Being that I have worked with people from different countries, I can honestly say, I've worked with people from many different cultures, backgrounds and lifestyles.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
All events are special to JC, however a recent company catering event with a number of VIP guests comes to mind. Based on the nature of the business this company offered; a lot of the attendees were unfamiliar with non-American food which is what the event host wanted. The culinary goal was to show off diversity in cultures by sampling other cultural foods outside of American cuisines. The responses were overwhelmingly positive and we received an invite to cook for them again at their next event.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you verify their industry experience as listed on their resume. Make sure they prepare a meal for you to sample (of your choice). Lastly, make sure they have a sincere passion for the Culinary arts because it will show in their food taste, presentation and professionalism.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Make sure you are clear about your needs and wants as it relates to how you'd like your event to be catered. Be realistic and specific with your expectations. Be upfront with any foreseen issues or uncertainties as soon as possible allotting ample to be corrected.
