How it all began

I grew up in an Italian home with lots of food, yelling over people talking and more family members than I can count. At the age of four, my Papi built me a stool for the stove, and I started making "gravy" on Sundays with Nani. I can still remember the smells of Sunday, family day. Everyone gathered around the kitchen table and no one left hungry. As I grew older, got married and had kids of my own I still carried on the traditions of my childhood, without the yelling... I started Pel-Appino Catering in 2009, nothing too serious, just helped out with friends weddings, dinner parties, birthdays, etc.

One day my husband said, "you should do this full time". I thought he was crazy. Then, in December 2015 my sweet husband passed away and I decided a few months later I would take is advise and just go for it!! Joe would be so proud to see what Pel-Appino Catering has become. Every time we do an event, there is a little bit of Joe in there.

I love what I do and to feed people is to feed their souls. I chose this career because I have a passion for food. families and fun!
