Rabbi Edward Friedman is happy to meet with couples and help them create meaningful, traditional Jewish wedding ceremonies at home, in the synagogue, or at a venue of your choice. As a Conservative rabbi, Rabbi Friedman, does not perform interfaith marriages, but will officiate at weddings of Jewish couples, including same sex partners. The rabbi has a strong, melodious voice and can fulfill the cantorial duties as well as serve as officiating rabbi. Serving a congregation in Aurora, IL, the rabbi is available for services throughout the Chicagoland area.

It is a special joy to meet with couples and learn more about them and how they want to make their day unique. Working within the framework of the traditional marriage ceremony, we have incorporated music, special customs, memorials, and always thoughts from both partners shared under the huppah. I am happy to help you to create that very special day that you will remember for a lifetime.

If you are looking for a Rabbi that truly cares about giving you the ceremony that suites you best look no further. Rabbi Friedman met with me and my family several times and was constantly exchanging emails and phone calls to ensure that the ceremony was exactly what I wanted. His ceremony was sincere and genuine and his singing was breath taking. I got compliments all night about the beautiful ceremony. I am very picky and met with over 5 rabbis before choosing Rabbi Edward Friedman and besides marrying my husband Dave, it was the best decision I could have made that day! Rabbi Friedman is great! When looking for an officiant, he was the first Rabbi we met with, and after meeting with him we didnt even need to meet with anyone else. You can tell he truly cares and really wants to make the ceremony personal for you. He took the time to get to know us, and my favorite part - he had my husband and I write a couple paragraphs about the other and he read them during the ceremony. It was beautiful. Thank you Rabbi Friedman!
