Every wedding is so unique and fun for me and the couple's I serve. I specialize in customized wedding ceremonies that feature your love story for a fresh, fun, and unforgettable wedding!
Many factors are considered when pricing a wedding ceremony that can best be determined during a free one-hour consultation.
After getting acquainted during the consult, I guide couples through an idea-filled sample ceremony to discern their style, personality, and preferences.
I have yet to meet with a couple who didn't see the unique value of what I offer to customize an unforgettable ceremony that perfectly suits their unique wedding vision.
I have 13 years of experience as a non-denominational pastor and wedding officiant. I hold a Masters of Educational Ministries degree from Wheaton College '97 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance from Northern Illinois University '90.
After NIU, I married my high school sweetheart on a heatwave summer day on July 20, 1991. We have 3 amazing kids, 2 snarky cats, and 1 happy-go-lucky golden retriever.
After nearly 30 years of joy-filled marriage, I still attend my share heatwave weddings. But now I go to perform other sweethearts' wedding ceremonies... weddings that they and their guests absolutely love! :)

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Almost every unforgettable wedding has 4 fun and helpful meetings:
1. A free consultation
(at which we get acquainted & I guide you through an idea-filled sample ceremony and see if the feeling's mutual to work together)
2. A 2-hour planning meeting
(from which I get all the details to write a customized ceremony script, including your engaging love story)
3. A 1-hour wedding rehearsal
(at which I lead the bridal party in a fun run-thru of what to do for a flawless ceremony)
4. A 30-minute wedding ceremony
(at which you will happily & memorably become husband & wife!)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
15 years as non-denominational pastor and wedding officiant.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is determined during an in-person consultation at a local Panera and based on each couples preferences after guiding them through an idea-filled sample wedding ceremony.
How did you get started in this business?
15 years as a non-denominational pastor.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly charming, affluent, millennial couples in Chicagoland and all destinations beyond.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love all my couples and their unforgettable weddings! It was, however, a unique joy to officiate the wedding of Chicago Blackhawk’s Hall of Famer Eddie Olczyk’s son at The Four Seasons, Chicago. Equally fun was spending time with Coach Q and Rocky Wirtz after the ceremony.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Keep this in mind, and you'll be fine...
1. Officiant calendars fill up quickly; especially quality officiants.
2. Quality officiants are rarely cheap...
And cheap officiants are seldom good.
3. Unlike other vendors, your officiant can either rock or ruin your ceremony.
Just make sure that you meet them face-to-face in a public place, that you like them, & that you trust them!
If you like their willingness to do your wedding your way (or at least offer good ideas and guidance), talk pricing with them, complete a service agreement, and book them for your big day! :)
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Will your officiant....
1. recount your personal love story?
2. share what you love and appreciate about each other?
3. guide you through your personalized and/or traditional vows?
4. lead a fun and helpful rehearsal for your bridal party?
5. tailor your ceremony to your style, personality, and vision?
6. provide a planning meeting to customize all the details?
7. provide a complete, word-for-word ceremony script?
8. officiate a 25 – 30 minute unforgettable ceremony
9. personally mail in your official marriage license?
10. offer pre-marital counseling sessions (if desired)?
