About
I began sewing when I was a teenager and then morfed into sewing for others. Have been sewing for over 50 years. I was involved with a consignment shop in Webster Groves (The Ark) for over 10 years sewing baby and children's items. I also sewed for a dressmaker (R&M Fashions) in Kirkwood for a few years. I am now a retired secretary/receptionist and have more time to help you.
I love the creativity and the satisfaction to see something successfully to completion.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with a customer in my home for alterations. I can also sew from a pattern when the customer supplies the fabric and pattern.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I loved the creativity that sewing brings. I took homemaking in high school in the early 60's and just expanded from there by taking classes at Jackman's Fabrics and trial and error.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
$15.00 an hour, give or take. I sew pretty fast, so most jobs don't take that long.
How did you get started in this business?
I've been sewing since I was 16 and I now am in my 70's.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
You must realize that sometimes jobs can take longer than was bid because, like your house or car, you don't realize what you might find when you get into it.
