Wedding Minister 4 U
About
Serving in ministry since 1993. [=]
I have a flexible fee schedule; I will work with you to agree on an amount you think is fair.
I'm an ordained minister in the Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ) w/ dual standing in the United Church of Christ. I gladly work w/ officiants of other faiths & perform both Christian & non-Christian or non-religious ceremonies.
I work w/ you to create the ceremony you want.
I am only available during the week for simple weddings in Lincoln. On weekends I am available to travel up to 1 hr. from Lincoln.
NOTE: Having suffered Heat Exhaustion I am no longer able to do outdoor weddings during the summer.
See me on facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/weddingminister4u or my website, weddingminister4u.webs.com.
I continue to perform weddings after retiring from pastoral ministry because it is the most fun part of ministry. It's a great experience to help a couple formalize their commitment to each other & celebrate their love for each other with their friends & families. [=]

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet w/ couples & discuss what they are looking for in a ceremony & how they want it to reflect them. I like to know at least a little about how they met & decided to get married & what marriage means to them. Then I meet w/ the couple as many times as they want to discuss the ceremony & make any changes they want.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My MDiv. degree is from Brite Divinity School @ TCU & I am ordained thru the Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ). I did full-time pastoral ministry for 10yrs & part-time pastoral ministry & guest preaching for another 16yrs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
How did you get started in this business?
Weddings are one of the best parts of ministry, so I continue to do them on a regular basis even though I no longer pastor churches. They're fun & rewarding!
What types of customers have you worked with?
All kinds. Religious & non-religious people as well as people of different faiths. I've performed weddings for all kinds of people in all kinds of places, from patios to prisons, lakesides to livingrooms, churches, event centers, vineyards, restaurants, you name it -- even a tree house.
I also do Celtic weddings in a kilt, military weddings in dress blues, Star Wars weddings in Jedi custume & country weddings in western wear, so I work w/ a wide range of people.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to ask questions. Also, make sure they don't have any preconditions or restrictions as far as their services are concerned.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How do they want their ceremony to reflect their personalities, their interests, beliefs & their love story.
