I’m Chef Darrell Allen, a culinary professional with over 20 years of experience in the food industry. Originally from Irvington, New Jersey, my passion for cooking started in elementary school and grew while working in my family’s restaurant. Over the years, I’ve trained under talented and educated chefs, mastering a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines.
I’ve worked in every type of kitchen—corporate, mom-and-pop establishments, banquets, and private dining—gaining invaluable experience in different culinary settings. I previously owned and rebuilt a food establishment, which strengthened my leadership skills and business acumen. I believe in a hands-on, lead-by-example approach and take pride in fostering strong, cohesive kitchen teams.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a private chef for notable figures such as Carmelo Anthony, Angela Simmons, and Archbishop E. Bernard Jordan. Currently, I’m building Everybody.Eatz, a food company, and Gourmet on Wheels, an upscale mobile dining experience. My ultimate goal is to own a Michelin-star restaurant, where I can bring my passion for food to the highest level and create unforgettable dining experiences.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I put together a major food depot with a list of great chefs in my area. There were many different cuisines and styles of food all in one location. Attendees were able to come to the location and patronize with each chef and their different brands. It was a great night with great food, great music, and great people!
