L & S Custom Tailors

L & S Custom Tailors, based in New York, NY, has served clients since 1974 from its Manhattan workshop. Founded by Salvatore after decades of refining Sicilian tailoring in Palermo, the atelier is staffed by nine master tailors who cut and construct garments in-house. Services include bespoke suits with live-drape patternmaking, 2–3 fittings, and fully hand-finished construction; made-to-measure suits built on full canvases with hand-finished details, typically requiring one fitting in 4–6 weeks; and made-to-order tailoring with curated fabrics and personalization options. The shop also produces custom shirts cut to exact measurements and offers alterations.

The workshop uses full floating canvases and sources cloth from leading European mills, including Loro Piana, Scabal, Holland & Sherry, and Vitale Barberis Canonico. Each client’s pattern is stored permanently to ensure consistent fit over time. Pricing starts at approximately $3,695 for bespoke, $2,695 for made-to-measure, $1,295 for made-to-order, and shirts from $349. Consultations are by appointment.
