Serving the NYC area, I work with Jewish and Interfaith couples to create a joyous and meaningful wedding
please ceremony based on Jewish customs. I am an Ordained Cantor (HUC 1981) and a certified marriage counselor with Prepare and Enrich.
Working with wedding couples allows me to get to know so many different kinds of people and share in their love. I want to give each couple the opportunity to have the Jewish wedding that is right for them.

Judy was very nice and flexible and willing to work with us. She put us as ease and you could tell she had done many of these and was very comfortable doing so. She made herself available to us and to the brides brother who was co-officiating and was willing to roll with whatever unexpectedness came as a result of that.

Judi was a magical presence at our wedding.
When we started, Natalia and I had a vague idea of what we wanted out of the ceremony. We were clear about what we didnt want, but uncertain about what we did and how to integrate it all together.
Being of Jewish faith myself, with Natalia having been brought up Russian Orthodox, it was a potential minefield, especially with regard to appeasing various relatives.
Judi seamlessly wove all of our tangential, and sometimes contradictory, philosophies together, creating a comfortable balance between Judaism, Russian-Orthodox, Hippy, 70’s Sci-fi and Beach-Tapas.
It was a truly unique wedding that simultaneously paid respect to our individual heritages, while maintaining a broad inclusivity for all of our variously international guests.
Importantly for us there was a heavy emphasis on family, friends and most importantly, love.
Judi, not only guided us through the day, but also curated the entire service. It was, without a doubt, the most amazing day, and a huge part of that was down to her!

Cantor Rowland was fantastic. She was so warm and caring and swept us into a personalized service. I felt as if my family member was overseeing our wedding ceremony. I would recommend Cantor Rowland to anyone.
