Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Finding out what they want and need. Making suggestions for their event. Helping them understand how things work and how to fulfill them to make their event memorable!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have over 7 years of catering experience. Catering events as little as two people and up to 300. We also have Serv Safe Certification on how to handle foods safely.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our prices can be viewed on our website under catering menu. Please check us out at: www.bullardsbbq.com
How did you get started in this business?
We started BBQing in our backyard having friends over. Eventually neighbors came by to check out what smelled so good. After a few years of cooking for friends and neighbors we decided to take a leap and go for it. We are now working on bottling 4 bbq sauces, 3 wing sauces and 17 seasonings/rubs.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with couples getting married or celebrating an anniversary. Also we have catered graduations sometimes for several graduates for one party, baby showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate events, employee appreciation events.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We catered a wedding where most of the brides guests were from Boston. 30 people all together and everyone one of them commented how good our baked beans tasted. Saying BULLARD's baked beans could compete with anything in Boston!! All 100 people at the event had said the creamy pasta salad was their new favorite! The best part was one guest lined his pockets with a gallon freezer bag and stuffed them with our pulled pork so he could sneak it home!!!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
We are very passionate about people and BBQ!! Honesty and Integrity are very important traits to have when working with customers who trust a caterer to go the extra mile to make their event memorable.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Try and have as close as possible how many guests are going to attend the event. We always strive to make sure their is plenty of meats and sides for everyone. Never do we want to run out of food for your event.
We always suggest 1/2lb of protein per guest and 1 to 1.5 cup serving of sides per guest.
We also suggest 1 cup serving of dessert per guests
Beverages are suggested at two per guest
We will gladly answer any questions you have for us
