Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I find out what their budget is, when and where they'd like to get the photos taken, and what style they're going for. Once this is all figured out, I email over a contract to be returned to me by email 24 hours before the session. The day of the session I'll send a message when I'm on my way, and then another once I'm there. I then make magic happen by capturing beautiful photos of the client, and then returning the photos to them within a week to a month depending on the type of session booked.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been behind a camera lens for over twenty years, and have owned my business for nine of those years. I also took photography classes in both high school and college, and then worked at Lifetouch for a short period of time where I learned how to pose clients for traditional portraits.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Prices range anywhere from $100 for a 30 minute session with one subject, to over $3000 for an elite wedding package.
How did you get started in this business?
I started my photography business in 2012 by taking high school senior photos, and since then have taken photos for maternities, engagements, weddings, elopements, families, newborns, and real estate.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When looking to hire a professional photographer, make sure they're all inclusive like I am, or else you're going to have to pay to own your digital images on top of the session fee.
