Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I commonly have initial contact by email or telephone. I will ask the client several questions to assess their needs. I will then prepare an initial quote which I will email to the client. Upon approval, we will either book an in home tasting or consultation. Sometimes clients will choose to book without the person to person meeting. Whatever the client chooses, if they decide to book, I will collect a 30% deposit to secure the date. I will then draw up a contract and the client will have all of their services laid out in writing along with the final balance that will be due 5 days prior to their event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associates of science in Culinary Arts and over 10 years of experience in the industry. I worked in the catering dept of Western Ky. University for several years and then left to start my own business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We do have standard menu pricing that starts at $9.99 pp for breakfast and lunch and $12.99 pp for dinner. We are very flexible about menu customizing and can work with any budget.
How did you get started in this business?
I graduated from culinary school and went to work at the WKU culinary dept. I absolutely loved it, so I left and started my own business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with every type of client, from small office meals to huge corporate events. We do baby and wedding showers and even class or family reunions. Of course, however, weddings are our first love. From large, lavish weddings to perfect, small affairs, we love them all!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask as many questions as you want. There is absolutely no silly question. If you have a special request, maybe a dish your grandmother used to make or a family standard, ask your caterer to make it. Another piece of advice is to taste the food!
