We differ by serving our community free meals, educational ServSafe Food Management certifications, and employment outreach. My catering business sinessnis determined for our meals to be flavorful and affordable. In this day and age no one should go hungry and every meal should be enjoyable. 

What I most enjoy about the work I do is serving the less fortunate, and educating foodies on the variety of ingredients to make your everyday meals pop. 

Our society has a variety of less fortunate individuals from home all to seniors and even low income families. I just want to be about of educating families on budgeting, stretching dry good to make multiple hearty meals, and the importance of produce vs. carbs or junk food. 

There are also those busy individuals who love food and are looking for variety. Many people travel, but with covid they aren't able to re create those memorable dishes on their own. So they call in an affordable chef like myself . It's my job to bring the flavor. Best part of my job is the shopping and recipe making. Then the look on my customers face when they take the first bite. Delicious.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am currently in culinary school at El Centro college for Food and Hospitality Management.  I went back to school for a more formal educational experience however, I have many years of culinary on the job training. I have been a deli chef, assistant chef, dishwasher, food prep assistant, etc... I've done it all. Now I am working on my management skills to help run my own successful business. 

I am also certified as a Instructor/ proctor for the National ServSafe Food Management certification. This makes me qualified to teach and oversee the exam for food safety. Which is required for all management and supervisory positions in the food industry.
