Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We make contact via email and phone. I learn a little about what the customer is looking for and discuss what I can do for them and how I can help. I get an ida of the layout or visit the venue. I check for audio connections and ensure the appropriate audio is available (no one likes a wedding thtthey can't hear). I also go over the step-by-step of the wedding and ensure the bride and groom that it'll turn out great!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed and ordained Minister with a Master's level degree in Pastoral Ministry. I have been performing weddings for 25+ years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Standard pricing is $250 and is based on the services needed and distance. Sometimes I'm needed at the rehearsal, sometimes not, so there are several factors that are included and often negotiable.
How did you get started in this business?
As a licensed and ordained Minister/Pastor, it's part of my duties for my community and congregants.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types...all ethnicities...I love people!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was just flown to Hawaii three weeks ago to perform an oceanfront wedding...BEAUTIFUL!!!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Check their experience and how closely they are related to understanding the essence of marriage. You don't want someone to just read the words, anyone can do that. You want someone who can compliment your wedding environment with a wonderful passionate wedding ceremony. This is done by their passion for the essence of marriage, what they say, and how they say it!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Things to think and talk throug: rehearsal, # of bridesmaids/groomsmen, what will you add to your wedding that is unique (i.e., foot washing, unity candle, singing, etc.), presentations to parents, etc.
