What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a potential client contacts me, I have the initial consultation via email, text, or messages to get an idea of what they are looking for and so they can send pictures of their ideas (if they have any). Then we schedule a phone conversation to better understand just what is needed and to map out the next steps. From there we either schedule an in person meeting for sketching and pricing, or we set up a time for taking measurements.
Usually there will be 3 or 4 fittings depending on the service provided. If I am custom making your piece, there will be the initial measurment fitting, a muslin fitting, and at last the garment fitting. There may be a 4th final fitting if the garment needs tweaking.
I request a non refundable $50 consultation fee to be paid at the time of our in person meeting, which will be deducted from the final cost of the project. Should we go forward, I require a non refundable 50% deposit to be paid before I begin the project to cover the cost of materials and expenses. The remaining 50% is due at the time of the final fitting.
