Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Initial consultation: The catering company will typically schedule a consultation with the new customer to discuss their event details, including date, time, location, guest count, and menu preferences.
2. Menu development: Based on the customer's preferences and budget, the catering company will develop a customized menu for the event.
3. Proposal and contract: The catering company will provide the customer with a proposal that outlines the menu, pricing, and services provided. Once the customer approves the proposal, a contract will be signed to finalize the agreement.
4. Event planning: The catering company will work with the customer to plan the logistics of the event, including setup, service, and cleanup.
5. Event execution: On the day of the event, the catering company will arrive early to set up and prepare the food. They will then provide service throughout the event and handle the cleanup once the event is over.
6. Follow-up: After the event, the catering company will typically follow up with the customer to ensure their satisfaction and address any feedback or concerns.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
many catering companies offer a range of pricing options depending on the needs and budget of the customer. Some companies may have set menus and packages with fixed pricing, while others may offer more customized options with variable pricing based on factors like guest count, menu selection, and service level. Additionally, some companies may charge additional fees for services like setup and cleanup, rentals, or staffing. It's important to discuss pricing and service details with your catering provider to ensure that you have a clear understanding of the costs associated with your event.
How did you get started in this business?
After graduating from Culinary School in 2009 I decided to start the Catering/Personal Chef business to showcase my skill set cooking everything from American Regional Cuisine to International Cuisines to satisfy every customer's culinary needs.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
1. Do your research: Look for reviews and testimonials from past customers to get an idea of the quality of service provided by the catering company. You can also ask for recommendations from friends and family who have worked with caterers in the past.
2. Consider their experience and expertise: Look for a catering company with experience in the type of event you're planning, as well as expertise in the type of cuisine you're interested in. Additionally, consider the qualifications of the chefs and staff to ensure that they have the necessary training and certifications.
3. Discuss your needs and budget: Be clear about your event details, including guest count, location, and any dietary restrictions or special requests. Discuss your budget with the catering company to ensure that their services fit within your price range.
4. Ask for a tasting: Many catering companies offer tastings or samplings of their food prior to the event. This can be a great way to ensure that you're happy with the menu selections and to make any necessary adjustments.
5. Review the contract: Before signing a contract with a catering company, be sure to review all the terms and conditions, including pricing, services provided, and cancellation policies. If you have any questions or concerns, be sure to address them with the catering company before signing.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
· What is the date, time, and location of the event?
· What is the guest count and what is the budget?
· What type of cuisine or menu are you interested in? Do you have any dietary restrictions or preferences?
· What is the overall theme or style of the event?
· Will there be any additional services needed, such as rentals or staffing?
· What is the timeline for the event, including setup, service, and cleanup?
· What is the contingency plan in case of unexpected changes or issues?
· What is the process for booking and payment, and what are the cancellation policies?
By thinking through these questions in advance, customers can be better prepared to discuss their needs with catering professionals and ensure that they receive the best service possible. Additionally, having a clear understanding of the event details and budget can help both parties to determine the most appropriate services and pricing options.
