Radiant Touch Weddings
Beverly Mason is a non-denomination wedding officiant serving NW Oregon & SW Washington since 2007. My goal is to perform a heart-felt and memorable ceremony that fits the couple's style and vision of their special day. From traditional to unique, it's always exactly what the couple wants.
Another key factor is my experience coordinating rehearsals, preparing everyone for the ceremony, assisting other vendors and communicating between the wedding party, guests and vendors.
No wedding is too big nor too small. Weddings, Elopements, Vow Renewals & Commitment Ceremonies are my specialty.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to meet couples first with a free consultation to discuss their wedding plans and ideas, plus to get to know them and their personalities. Next I draft a ceremony that I feel fits their style and choices. Once we've finalized everything they know exactly what will be said in their ceremony. I also recommend other wedding professionals based on who they are still looking to hire. I have an extensive network of vendors that I personally know and have worked with. After the wedding I promptly return the marriage license to the County so that the couple can get a certified copy. I get numerous referrals from past couples and it's always so fun to see them again at weddings of their friends and family.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I feel that it is very important to have a good working relationship with the other vendors at a wedding. It all goes so much more smoothly if we all work together. THerefore I founded a fantastic Networking association in 2007 for wedding professionals. NW Wed Pro gave us an opportunity to get to know each other, share ideas and advice, learn about each service and how to best work together at weddings. It became a very successful Networking Group and built many great vendor relations.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have a standard pricing system that varies for different size wedding, needs, rehearsals, locations, etc. Since no 2 weddings are the same, I try to offer a price point for many options. Example: Elopement, All-Inclusive Elopement Package, Small wedding with 10-20 guests, Full wedding no rehearsal, Full wedding with rehearsal, close to my home, travel mileage to venue.... Each is unique so it's priced accordingly. It ranges from $125 - $1500 for elopements and elopement packages. $250 - $400 for small ceremony to full wedding and rehearsal.
How did you get started in this business?
I've ALWAYS loved weddings. There is nothing so special as a wedding day. While working for the County Clerk's Office from 1999 - 2007, I issued thousands of marriage licenses to couples. Many just wanted to elope but really didn't want it to be in a courthouse and often times they couldn't find anyone available to fit their schedule. I decided to become ordained so that I could provide this service to couple and perform their elopements in beautiful outdoor settings or at their homes. In the first 60 days I performed over 30 ceremonies. This was exciting! I LOVED what I was doing. I expanded my services offered, built my website, formed a wedding professionals networking group and away it went. I was doing what I was happiest doing so I quit my job 6 months later and have never regretted it a single day. I have performed over 800 weddings and elopements and each one brings me joy!
What types of customers have you worked with?
My couples range from young to old, rich and poor, gay and straight. I love them all! Fortunately my energy and personality draws similar like-minded and easy going people most of the time. It makes life so much more enjoyable when you are celebrating with people who are happy, in love and enjoy life!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I really enjoy providing a complete elopement/small wedding package for couples. Sometimes it's just the two of them, others invite up to 20 guests. Many of my couples have come from far away such as Canada, Israel, Florida, Texas, England, France and Costa Rica. Everything is ready when they arrive. Venue, decorations, flowers, photography, champagne and more. They love the stress-free, planning-free elopement. I enjoy providing them with a memorable elopement. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I definitely recommend hiring someone with lots of experience. It's crazy how many people think that it will be fine to just have a friend or relative or an inexperienced but cheap officiant do it. There is so much more to it.
Personality, Public Speaking Abilities, Expreience handling any unexpected event at a wedding, Writing beautiful ceremonies, Helping write vows, Coordinating the entire wedding parrty and family at the rehearsal and ceremony, Properly completing license and certificate, Communication with other wedding vendors involved (DJ, musicians, photographer, venue coordinator), the list goes on!
An experienced and qualified officiant will do all of those things and you will be so glad you hired a professional.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about your ceremony. Do you want religious or non religious? Do you want traditional or something totally unique that fits your personalities? Do you want 15 minutes or 30 minutes long?
Does your officiant offer flexibility? How many years experience? Good reviews?
Your officiant should make you feel comfortable. SHe's the one you will be standing with in front of all of your friends and family. She should have a calming effect on you, a friendly smile, a relaxed demeanor so that the two of you can feel happy, comfortable and beaming with love.
