I am passionate about staying affordable for the average family, while still providing high quality portraits that will stand out from the rest. It's A Dream Photography was founded out of a love for giving people memories that will last a lifetime, building relationships through photographs which last from senior portraits, engagements, maternity, weddings, births, children's photos, and everything in between.
What do I enjoy about the work I do?
How do you say EVERYTHING? I have yet to find anything I don't like about meeting new people, giving them memories to last a lifetime, watching my long time clients grow and change right before my eyes. I don't know what's not to like about having relationships with families and being with them as they go through marriages, births, birthday parties, anniversaries, and being the one to capture the special moments in time that make up their lives.
I am the one who is there to give them snapshots of their lives greatest hits, the one thing they will have even when their own memory fades. It's beautiful.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Email me at [email protected]
2. After correspondence, we will decide which session will work best for your family, so that you can have the BEST experience and get the most for your time and money.
3. After deciding on the package, you will PayPal or Facebook Messenger Pay the session fee to me, booking is complete!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-3 semesters of college level photography courses.
-3 months of apprenticeship with a studio, working with and learning from photographers with a combined experience of over 52 years.
-I attend online webinars and workshops regularly to stay up to date on photography trends and equipment technology.
-Over 7 years of hands on experience working daily since opening IAD Photography.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
-Basic session packages range from $75-$200. These are for families, children, maternity, etc. Email me for more details.
-Sports action shots are available, pricing based on packages chosen and location/travel. Packages start at $25 per child. Email me for more details.
-Team pictures for sports are $25 per child. This comes with 2-3 individual images & 2 team images on a disc, with print release. Email me for more details.
-Birth story packages are $750 & $1000. They are all-inclusive and I will be with you the whole day to capture the miracle of your angel entering this world! Email me for details.
-Wedding packages range widely depending on your budget and timeline. We want to work with you to make your day one you never forget! Your photos are the one thing you'll have in 50 years for your grandchildren to look back on, so we want you to be PROUD of them! Packages start at $750, please email us to talk details and get an accurate price for your day.
How did you get started in this business?
Years ago I picked up a camera and started taking photos of my son. I was a young mother, we didn't have a lot of extra money, but I desperately wanted to capture his life. After spending over $400 at a Sears for his 1 year pictures I knew that these moments were ones I could never get back, and NO MOTHER deserved to miss out on having photograph memories of her babies because it was too expensive... So, I changed my major in college, took a few classes, and realized that I ADORED the art of photography. After the classes and workshops I went on to apprentice, then finally opened my own studio. At It's A Dream Photography, I knew my dream had truly been born. I knew I had found my niche, my place in the world, the way I would make my little corner of the world a better place. I hope I can help you to have a little piece of that, too.
What types of customers have you worked with?
At IAD, we do not discriminate in any way. We have taken photos for people from all walks of life... Rich or poor, blended families, interracial, same sex, we want to give every family, regardless of their circumstance, memories to last a lifetime.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have recently branched out into boudoir and sports photography (weird, I know lol! The two aren't exactly the same!).
After focusing on basic sports (football, baseball, etc...), I got to shoot a BMX biker, catching him going up the ramps and doing tricks was VERY cool. As an artist I love experiencing new things from behind my lens!
In boudoir, I've had some of the most GORGEOUS women come through my bed ;) However, as a woman, I've always been insecure about my own body... A few weeks ago I had two knockout, plus-size, women come in back to back. They were SO comfortable being who they were, with tattoos and sexy lingerie, it made me realize that despite societal standards of beauty it only matters that YOU love you. You hear those words all the time, but seeing it, right in front of me, really pushed it home.
I may be "just a photographer", but I learn new things every day. The people I meet, they make my job, MY LIFE, absolutely AMAZING.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Know what you want. (At least for the most part!) When you contact your chosen photog, be as specific & detailed as you can, so that they can give you an accurate answer!
I get messages all the time that say "Do you have any sessions available?" Quick answer... I ALWAYS have sessions available :D The when/where/what is what I need to know!!
