Wild Cats Photography, based in Spokane, Washington. was created by Pete Cento in 1981 while attending Archbishop Curley Notre Dame High School in Miami, FL.
Pete Cento is a native of Havana, Cuba and grew up in West Palm Beach, Miami Shores, and North Miami, Fl. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism + Communication and Photography from Florida International University and A.A. degree in Journalism from Miami-Dade College. Cento began his profession as an apprentice working with photographers in Southeast Florida while attending Archbishop Curley Notre Dame Prep School. He has been capturing life events and creating lasting memories for clients for more than 40 years.
After moving to Spokane in December 2019, Cento works as a photographer with realtors, property managers, travel, and tourism professionals, and specializes in corporate events and fundraising events for not-for-profits & academia. Cento documents disasters for the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the US Small Business Administration (SBA) on more than 75 disasters from California to Maine.
Beginning in 1981, Cento has created lifetime memories by using his photographic talent to capture images on film in black & white and color that is customized for each subject matter. Commercially, his reputation for documenting natural disasters is highly regarded and widely respected. Cento has the talent and capability to put his subjects at ease while using his Sony digital SLR camera to capture a depth of personality not normally revealed on film. Cento’s product photography blends skill and photographic technique with an artist’s eye for shape, color, and texture. His photographs combine a command of her medium with a sense of creativity, originality, and innovation.
Cento is dedicated to advancing the camera as a tool of communication and expression one image at-a-time.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In the age of CCOVID-19 Coronavirus global pandemic, the new normal is practicing social distancing measures. My typical process is to meet with a new client on the phone and then later in person.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Science in Communication + Journalism + Photography from Florida International University (FIU). I've taught photography classes in South Florida since 1981 and at Lorenzo Walker Technical College in Naples, FL. I posess more than 40 years experience in film and digital photography and video.
