Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Let's discuss your ideas and goals to ensure we both understand the scope of work. Flexibility and good chemistry is important when working with your photographer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional photographer (not a "side hustle") for 5+ years. But, it was in high school when I first picked up a camera. Kind of a life long passion.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is dependent on scope of work as well as duration of the assignment but all pricing will be disclosed and agreed upon prior to assignment. All pricing is posted on my websites.
How did you get started in this business?
My corporate world career was in healthcare. An early retirement provided me with the opportunity to chase (and catch) my dream of being a photographer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Realtors and business people, graduating students, families and, of course couples getting engaged and married, always have a wish to freeze a moment in time through photos.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
It is the continuing relationship with some of my clients that brings me happiness. With one couple, we started with the engagement photos, then the wedding and now, recently, the maternity photos. Up next? We alreaady know it's a boy!!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Chemistry and a book of work. Look at both. Photographers all have their own style. Find one you like - artistic, journalistic or like me, what I call "voyueristic" (but not in the creepy sense). Candid, unposed shots are my favorites. The ones you didn't pose for, the ones you might not know I was taking.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Experience has shown me that there are very few new questions, just the first time you have needed to ask them. Let's talk. I've heard the questions before and will typically provide the answer before the question arises.
