We use them for so many events and have NEVER had a problem! They are professional, on time, and the quality is always excellent.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We prefer to have a little notice to serve you the best, at least 24 hours for Mon-Fri deliveries and one week for weekend deliveries.  If you are looking for Full Service Catering and Service, we request minimum of one week for Mon-Fri and two weeks for weekend, one month for Weddings.  We are more than happy to take orders over the phone, email or directly over our site.  Payments are required prior to delivery or at time of delivery.  Some orders may require a deposit if large or on the weekend.  Our office is open M-F 8:00 - 4:30.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I personally have been an Executive Chef for 29 years.  With extensive experience in high production events up to 15,000 guests.  Our business has been servicing our customers for 18 years in our Commercial Kitchen located in Pasadena.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

Prices vary but guidelines to consider are:

Breakfast $8-$15 pp

Lunch Cold $9 - $14

Lunch Hot $14-$17

Dinner Full Service $25 - $65

How did you get started in this business?

Our business was a mandate that God put on my heart when I came back to SoCal in 2008 to start my life over again.  After a tramatic time in my life.  I was praying asking Him what to do with my life?  He game me the name and the mission!  So off I went, I shared this with anyone that would listen and eventically was introduced to the family that had a catering company and commerical kitchen in Pasadena named Kilroy's Sandwich Factory.  They needed a production manager and some consulting.  I did the consulting while I was waiting on God to show me where we were suppose to open Hope Cafe & Catering.  Overtime the family asked me if I would be interested in buying 50% of the business so I did in 2012.  Shortly thereafter I knew that God wanted us to convert the business from what it was to His calling of Hope Cafe & Catering.  So we did!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I personally love to do weddings as me and my wife usually are at everyone of them.  We take great pride in serving the couple, their family and guests.  Since we don't just rely on doing weddings, we are able to usually do them significantly less than others.  Which is our goal not to put the couple in financial stress at the beginning of their new journey together.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Be clear in what you desire, if there is something that you want that we don't offer just ask.  We are more than happy if we can do it, we will.  Also if you have a budget than please let us know, again if it's important to you then it is important to us.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Do they have a professional / legal kithcen to work out of?

Do they have proper licenses and insurances?  Do they have proper refrigeration for their vehicles especially if it is during weather over 70 degrees.

Do they have a realistic budget for their event?  Think about your favorite restaurant that prepares the food you desire and how much do you pay per person, at a minimum this is your base plus possible delivery charge, tax and tip.
