Scratch Test Kitchen is a farm-to-table private chef experience by Chef Dorian Southall. A pop-up dinner social, combined with teaching and consulting.
My style of cooking is complex and carefully crafted, yet has a touch of simplicity. Whilst the style is technical and the presentations elaborate, the food itself is not intimidating, having its roots in familiar classical themes. The textures, flavors, and ingredients complement each other rather than jostling for position on the tongue. Although everything is easily identified by the guest it still possesses that “WOW” factor. My food philosophy is based on a no-nonsense approach that products in season, when possible, should be offered on the menu for maximum flavor. Source great quality ingredients and let them sing.
