Describe a recent event you are fond of.
It takes one moment to change the mood of a photo session.
December 24th, 2022: I was to take a family portrait with a focus on a four-year-old boy and his newborn sister with Mom and Dad. Present for the photo session was the two Grandparents, Younger Brother, and his lovely Fiance.
During the shoot, I was challenged to keep the fiance in the photographs. She wasn't feeling fully welcome and I could see it. So I bent down and whispered to the little boy, Jason's ear, to go over and hold his Auntie Maria's hand for the pictures. He went over and asked her to hold her hand and began kissing her hand gently. It brought the entire family into a loving mood as the whole family rejoiced at the moment with a group hug.
Unplanned but a great group photograph.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Come see me with the understanding you are the Star. Bring your best-dressed self and then let us, together, develop your personality for the camera.
Don't shortchange your time nor ask for just 1 picture as we will be taking 15-20 pictures to warm you up to the camera. Come ready to laugh, smile and maybe share a personal story express it will result in something special that will reflect your unique personality right now. Then let's do it again in a couple of years and look for your growth.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
People ask me what should they do to prepare for the photo session on the day.
Tips:
- Am I the right photographer for you, LET'S TALK, it's so important. ( I haven't lost a single client since we talked)
- Come about 15 minutes early to ease into our time and prior to the actual shoot. This way nothing is rushed. (I will most like to have water, tea, or coffee for us.)
- How to look my Best: Drink 5 glasses of water for 3 days prior to the shoot. (Your skin will glow with a healthy color)
- How to look my Best: Get good rest for the 2 days prior to the shoot. (And on the day leave your worries behind and your face will shine)
- Hair and Make-up Questions: Don't get a haircut the day or two before the shoot but do so 10 days prior. Makeup, bring it with you, and let's talk about your lipstick colors.
- Bring along 2 changes of clothes - (wear something you love! Not so much Black or white. With Colors your eyes will pop)
See you soon
