Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whenever we get a quote request from a customer, first we get in touch with them to get the specifics of what they are looking for and what their budget is. This could be via telephone or zoom. We then go ahead on the creative side and come up with a storyboard if it's a video and photo spots if it's a photoshoot. The actual shoot comes after and our clients have the finished product in one or two days after the shoot depending on the complexity of it. First revision is in the included in the price but any after that it would cost extra because that would be extra work for our editor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
One of the co-owners, George, attended the Academy of Arts in San Francisco and majored in Sound in Motion Picture so he is astute when it comes to anything audio. However, Wayne, who is the other co-owner learnt film production and photography the old school way. His father owns a production company in Nairobi, Kenya so film, video and photography are things he grew around and was mentored by the best in the business in Kenya. As for our staff, they are mostly self taught but they do a pretty solid job.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our prices are based on our client's needs. We can work around any budget while still maintaining a level of professionalism and creativity. All you have to do is give us a call.
How did you get started in this business?
Business started and grew in the basis of friendship. Both the owners have a deep love for the arts. Bravely, they both decided to start Clarico which is a Latin word meaning "flare".
What types of customers have you worked with?
We've worked with a wide range of customers from breweries like Sierra Nevada and Calicraft Breweries to coffee shops like Stumptown Coffee. Recently, we expanded our expertise to shooting music videos as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Professionalism, creativity and cost. Those would be the most important things to look at.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Budget, when they would want the actual shoot to happen, where and how the pros work can make them stand out.
