Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a couple contacts me, the first thing I want to do is ask them to tell me about their wedding plans and what their expectations are for photography. I want to help them see the options available to them. My goal is to help each couple get the best images of their special day!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified in Wedding Photography by the Golden Gate School of Photography and I have taken part in numerous seminars and workshops specializing in current techniques and trends in the photographic profession. I have also been honored to be chosen as a board member of the Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Each couple’s wedding is unique. Over the span of my career, No clients have ever invested the exact same amount on their photographs with the identical parameters. I prefer to help couples put together selections that suit their needs. I fashion plans that keep couples within their budget. I can help build a selection that makes everyone happy.
How did you get started in this business?
Creating images that touch people’s emotions has always been a passion of mine. Once during a massive flood in Northern California, a photo on the front page was of a couple rowing in a rowboat having lost everything. They were allowed to keep only one item, and in the boat was their wedding album. I decided I wanted to provide something that was that meaningful to people so I’ve been creating ever since!
What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients have included wedding couples, Mitzvah clients, corporate events, portraits, parties and everything else you could think of where people want to preserve their special lifetime moments!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my favorite experiences was creating wedding images for a couple at Joshua Tree National Park and another at Yosemite National Park. The scenery and possibilities were endless! I love creating in places that are unique. I’ll create images where ever the couple’s imagination takes us!
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
When a couple is looking for a photographer for their wedding, they need to be sure to hire someone they will love spending their wedding day with. This is a once in a lifetime day. Couples should make sure that their photographer knows how to listen and knows how to manage their family and guests throughout the day. Personality and professionalism are a must.
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
Couples should ask about the experience of a photographer and how many weddings they have personally photographed. A great photographer has experienced just about every situation and knows how to make the bride and groom happy all day, while creating spectacular images for them! Ask about back up equipment, ask about the options regarding additional assistants, ask if the photographer has worked with any of the vendors that they are using and ask if the photographer has ideas that will enhance their wedding plans.
