Doug Ellis Photography
About
Even if you think you are just coming in for a business headshot or family portrait, I generally intend to express your divinity and leave us both with something to show for it.
My sessions are embodied, authentic, and often playful--that includes my business portraits, headshots, and event and wedding photography.
Helping people feel comfortable and relaxed and the best versions of themselves beyond the professional and social masks we all wear. It is fun to show people it can be a yes and..you can be professional and trustworthy,a nd true to yourself. I also enjoy revealing joy and beauty in all its forms and sometimes the quiet in between moments at weddings and events (even corporate ones) that no one seems to notice.
It is fun to reveal those on a slideshow and big screen at larger events.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a discovery form and style guide and help walk my clients through any fears/hesitations about photography or their appearance and make sure we are both feeling clear, emboldened, and aspiring to great things before we even meet in person.
We meet in person and go through your clothes, accessories, etc and I make sure you look your best and from there, based on your preferences we choose backgrounds/locations that match exactly what kind of image you want to convey.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Masters degree in Marketing/PR and Branding and extensive training in somatic coaching, energy work, etc. These and my experience as a tennis player and tennis coach help me help you embody your best.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is based on your needs, including the number of looks and number of hours of coverage needed.
How did you get started in this business?
Indirectly by being dismayed by the cheezy stock photos that were out there and being a Marketing Director who wanted some really great images. So I started taking my own.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Many well known authors, coaches, speakers, healers and teachers as well as conscious business owners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of my role as event photographer for Transformational Leadership Council and Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology.
