Linda Blue Photography
About
My name is Linda Blue and my purpose in life is to make people smile - both professionally and personally. I'm attracted to joy and abandon and being a professional photographer gives me daily access to exactly that!
My love affair with photography began more than two decades ago. I graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography long before digital photography and phone apps entered the world. Shooting with film gave me an appreciation of texture and also taught me how to use color, light and contrast to compose beautiful images.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ask questions and find out what my clients vision is, so I can make it a reality :) We start with location, then tallk about clothing & then set the date and time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Photography that I received from Brooks Institute of Photography.
How did you get started in this business?
I wanted an SLR Camera for my high school graduation. I got one & had no idea on how to use it, so I took a summer school class at my local Junior College. I LOVED IT! I found myself in the darkrooom for 8 hours at a time & still loved it! I graduated from Brooks and the rest is history!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with businesses, brides, mothers, families, babies, pets! I currently shoot for CA Cut Flower Commission, which surrounds me with flowers & people! Los Arroyos is always fun to shoot for & they even feed me ;) But I have to say wineries are one of my favorites, and I love the variety of shooting the vines to the bottles! I love it ALL!!!!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I photographed a wedding that had the BEST energy from start to finish!!!! I even stayed an hour later because I always having so much fun on the dance floor... of course I had my camera in hand ;] I always go above and beyond!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Take a look at the photographer's website, if you keep seeing the same people, it's a sign they don't have much experience. Always call & actually talk to the photographer & see if your personalities mesh well :) If they don't make you smile over the phone, they probably won't get you to naturally smile at the shoot, which is when I get the best smiles & reactions!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How much they can spend, style of photos they like, and the rest will come from speaking to me :)
