Hi, I’m Rebecca—photographer, storyteller, and founder of Rebecca Stark Photography. Based in Santa Cruz and serving the greater Bay Area, I’ve been capturing weddings, events, portraits, and branding images since 2000.

Most clients find me through my website, Yelp reviews or are referred by previous clients. Email or a phone call usually starts the process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a psychology major and have taken many photography classes and workshops.

How did you get started in this business?
My father was a photographer and my mother was an art teacher. They greatly influenced me and my photography career was a natural progression.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with hundreds of couples photographing their weddings. Many families and individuals for portraits and headshots.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently photographed a corporate event for a huge tech company in Silicon Valley. There was no expense spared on food, decorations and entertainment.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find a photographer who's work you love and personality you like.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The date of their event, their budget and what deliverables they would like.
