Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I like to start by doing an intake phone call that lasts between 10-30 minutes (sometimes longer if we are vibing!). The phone call allows me to get information about the vibe of the couple's project, understand what equipment I will need, and overall make sure every package I offer is tailored to the client's needs. It also helps set up a relationship so the couple feels comfortable reaching out to me anytime they have a question.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working as a photographer and videographer for 7 year across Europe and the US. I have lived in Greece, France, Spain, and the US, in Boston and now in the Napa Valley Area. My travels have helped me relate to all my couples and I have had the honor of shooting so many different types of couples and events.
How did you get started in this business?
I was originally a marketing major who picked up a camera to help build my resume and develop a hobby. Soon I found my self shooting some of my friends weddings and fell in love with it. Seven years later, it is my full time career and I love it!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of customers. Elopements, full formal 12 hour weddings, South Asian weddings, a host of different religions, ethic backgrounds, ages. I have done it all!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My favorite project of late was a wedding video I shot for Meghan and Marcus. Their video turned out so magically and the couple had such a great time on the shoot.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I suggest looking around and getting quotes from and talking to a lot of different people. Ask to look at full galleries and view a couple of different galleries and videos, not just one. A videographer/photographer should be very upfront with you about their pricing and their work, so if you don't feel comfortable, keep looking. It is your day!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What does the package include? Is this your full-time job? How many weddings do you shoot a year? How many cameras do you have to capture video? Do you provide all RAW clips? Do you provide any physical products?
