What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Listen , listen , listen to what the customer needs and want.
Exceed what the customer was expecting to their delight provided images and video they will always want to post on their social media pages
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA photography & film PA , Master grip lead local 600 , film lighting technician, film lens puller, crane and stedicam operator. Arri academy. Combined 26 years experience in the motion picture industry ,with film/photo disciplines encompass Commerical Advertising ,Architecture & Real Estate , executive portraits, Lifestyle activities, from Big Kids to Little Kids to Itty bitty little ones .
Why ? Because they make me smile and laugh, they make me dig down deep to understand what their feeling and then help them to put that moment in a picture.
Film & Still Cameras I use : RED Komodo C300, Canon EOS R, Canon 5D Mark IV , Sony film & photography will rent when client requests .

How did you get started in this business?
Photographed my first wedding at 16 years old and did 16 weddings that first year. At age 26 I was asked by a carpenter to come to LA for a few months to help build movie sets. At 27 I was lighting movie sets. Then the lens puller didn't show up to work on a movie set and was asked to fill in and the career took off after that as I had gained the trust of multiple directors and studios as reliable and followed instructions. By my passion was always to have my own studio so this is where I am today . 65% architectural, real estate film & photography. The remainder is product , food , sporting goods products, lifestyle. What types of customers have you worked with?
I still love to work with people for that personal connection from family portraiture too national commercial advertising to architecture firms to custom home builders , interior designers and all products and materials that relate the construction industry.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Meet the person , get to know them .
it's a relationship that needs to be developed so you can trust the photographer/videographer to deliver what they say they can . Just don't hire on price and a few past portfolio samples. And for gods sake don't hire on catch phrases like how many megapixel does your cameras have If there are a professional, making a living at this then they should have access to the right equipment to meet your specific needs
So again it's very important to take the time to meet your next photographer/videographer This can be done on Zoom or in person , COVID protected of course.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What is there end usages for the images/ pictures aka social media : Instagram,Facebook, etc. Will they want to post on Youtube or Vimeo , or will it be on a local TV or National TV, cable .
