Big Eyed Guy Photography By Kevin Cain
About
I'm a dynamic photographer with an eye for amazing shots in any environment. And for as good as my photographic vision is, I'm an even better listener. I will deliver exactly what my clients are looking for every time.
Everything! I love to help make the experience of enjoying the milestones in life become powerful stories that transcend the event and become life's journey markers.
I've been a professional musician since the young age of 13. Shortly after going pro as a musician, I picked up a camera to document my journey as a touring musician. I started to see the powerful stories told by great photographer's and slowly learned the fine art of photography by reading trade magazines, visiting photographer's websites but mostly by taking thousands of photos on whatever I had available to shoot with. Consequently, I learned photography with some very real life circumstances. I can shoot photos of people doing just about anything! We also, shoot powerful, impactful product images. We love nature. One of the biggest challenges photographers face is outdoor landscape photography. We always meet and exceed the challenge. Check out our Instagram page. We post pix of different stories just about every other day. @BigEyedGuy .

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to have a consultation to determine our clients photographic goals and put a plan of action in play.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a professional photographer for 5 years. But I've been taking amazing photos for over 35 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We have pricing packages for all our photo disciplines. We also use questionaires to help hone in on specific add on products and services our clients may need.
How did you get started in this business?
As a touring musician since I was 13, I got a camera to shoot all the wonderful places I was blessed to travel too. That led to my love of capturing the best of the world's best. I would shoot any and everything and everybody that would let me. I realized pictures evoke emotion in people just like a great song can. So I began my journey of telling stories thru photos the first time someone genuinely enjoyed my work.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with celebrities like Will I Am, Marcia Ambrosius, Byron Cage, Papa Roach, Cake, Joe Leavy and the Deftones.
Although Real Estate photography is our bread and butter here, and we offer a full suite of real estate photo services including videography, and aerial (drone photography), we've shot Architectural & Construction photography projects as well. We've done product photography for commercial advertising and manufacturers. We've shot landscapes and historic locations for the State of California and the City of Sacramento. We've even shot food for menus at several amazing restaurant destinations.
We are highly discreet and professional lifestyle and boudoir photographers and take pride in our artwork.
I've shot several weddings for friends and family over the years. It still gives me goosebumps to capture the first steps into a new and one of the most powerful chapters in most people's lives.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We recently did an event attended by 330 pregnant women. We took pix of all of them and sent each of them home with a "Red carpet" type portrait of themselves and their families. It was amazing to see so many new lives about to make their debut into the world.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Have frank and truthful conversation with your photographer. Set your expectations (preferably in writing) with your photographer. Let them know of anything you may be self conscious of. And last, expect an amazing experience from your photographer and insist on a positive environment to hold your session.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Budgeting for many clients is a very forward subject in their minds. Consider the photographer's entire offer before agreeing to the price one way or or another. You should feel comfortable with your photographer's personality, professionalism, and have seen some of their sample pix. Ask what time frame an average photo session is. Ask how long editing usually takes? Does the photographer edit in house or do they outsource the editing? Ask how many photos are delivered upon completion. Ask how the pix are allowed to be used. Ask what paperwork will need to be completed. Are makeup and hair stylist provided? Will props be provided or will you need to provide your own.
