About
My name is Maya, and I am your number one fan. Truly. When I taught at-risk teens, I learned that everyone needs a little reflection once in a while to remind them how beautiful they are. I think every person has an incredible story to tell, and I want to be a part of that process, because there is no greater power than being seen as you are. 1,000 little moments have led you to being this incredible human you are today, and I’d love to be a part of your next step.
I love working with adventurous couples, spirited individuals and people who are wildly alive. My style is poetic, empowering, emotional and candid. Colorado and Hawaii are my homes, but I am comfortable anywhere you’d like to take me.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before we begin brainstorming, I schedule a Facetime, Zoom or coffee date with each client to make sure that our vision is the same and our vibe is compatbile. Then we proceed to discussing more details before the shoot.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a teacher for 10 years, so my people skills are quite strong. I have also been a photographer for the last 5, taking on full-time professional work over the last two years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
For custom-build packages or free-lance work I charge $100/hour and $10/photo you'd like to keep (based on editing time and costs).
How did you get started in this business?
My father is a professional photographer and has been mentoring and teaching me for the last 15 years. I have been his second shooter for the last 5 years, as I launched my own professional portrait business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked will all customers of different religions, genders, ethnicities and beliefs. All are welcome here :)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, I photographed a sunset engagement session in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. The couple brought their 120 lb Bernie-doodle dog, Darby, who was in most of our photos. It was the most fun and authentic shoot because of the furry addition, and the setting was gorgeous.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Choose a photographer you can connect with, because chemistry is everything. If you aren't on the same page about the vision for the shoot, the results will dissapoint you both.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What part of your personality is important for them you showcase?
