What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know my customers before a shoot. Hopefully over coffee but can be over the phone. It is essential for me because I'd like there to be a good rapport and energy with the people that I work with. I believe it helps the customer feel more comfortable by the time the shit happens. It also helps me learn about their facial expressions --that way I know what to look for as I am engaging them with my lens. It helps me to know that I am capturing the real person as opposed to a forced look and feel.
I am very easy to work with and very personable which makes my customers feel very safe, relaxed and comfortable --it all leads to very productive photo shoots.
I am also multicultural and multi lingual and multi religious, which means I know how to behave in different environments. This is very important when shooting customers who come from different backgrounds and who are looking to capture their events with the look and feel and essence of what makes them different from the rest.
