About

Owner/Operator/Chief Cook Richard Lawrence Stein is a nearly 50 year local of Westport. He started his food services career at local hangout legend Dunevilles as one of the first dishwashers. He went on from there to work in a few other notable Westport eateries. Vivas, Pancho Villa, Tonics, as well as The Original Treehouse Cafe and Comedy Club. He sharpened his cooking and catering teeth under the guidance of Chris Negrin of In Good Taste fame, as well as Kitty Brown of Simply Creative. He has since worked at Abigail Kirsch at The New York Botanical Garden, where he ran the entire back of house for the 260 acre landmark property. For the last several years Rich has been a highly sought after Chef in the high stakes catering world of New York City. With Stints at Creative Edge Parties, Great Performances, Thomas Preti, OCC, and many other notable Event providers. He has worked with the major players of the culinary catering world and for some faces you might know in the financial world, entertainment world, and politics. Rich is delighted to bring his SELF TAUGHT skills, delicious delectables and his What’s On The Menu Event Services Team to not only his hometown but the surrounding Tri-State area.
