How did you get started in this business?
My father, uncle and older brother was photographers. I was a poet and songwriter for many years but always wanted to learn photography. In 2011 I finally bought my first camera through the inspiration and guidance of my photography mentor. I went out in the field to capture nature as well as bringing my camera with me to events and learned to take photos of people , reading books from the great photographers of old as well as present photographers I admire. I am constantly taking webinars , and other self improvement courses in photography to better myself as a photographer so that I can use the things I've learned to be a more skilled photographer and to provide the best service to my customers.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with all types of customers. I love meeting new people and various backgrounds. I work great with people and want every person who leave my photo shoot to have a positive experience with me.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Bringing joy to a family who recently needed a photoshoot. I love to make every customer feel that their shoot is important and I try to make them have a happy experience regardless of their budget. I treat everyone the way I want to be treated. They gave me such a wonderful review online.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to ask questions to a photographer before photoshoot and to come up with a vision with photographer so both parties can execute the type of photography images you are looking for. Even though you as a customer may not know what you want as yet, the photographer should be able to give some ideas or point you in the right direction. Finding out what the total cost for everything before shoot.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Question should be based on the type of photos you want when the photographer is done with the shoot.
Look through pinterest and google images photo shoots to get ideas , ideas like outfits and amount of outfit changing for shoot you and photographer agree to. The type of mood, scenery or background locations you are thinking about. You want to visualize what you want pre photoshoot. You should be thinking about the finished print , how do you want it to look on you home decor, how you want your pictures to look as it is framed on your wall at home office, gallery or place of business.
Ask for what service photographers can do . Many photographers specialize in certain specific areas. You want to know if they can do what you had in mind for your photos. To get the photos you desire it is best to have these discussions or understanding prior to the shooting. If they are not communicated by the customer or photographers it can result in having something other than what you had in mind.
If you have no idea what you want as yet, it's ok , your photographers should also be able to help you through that process. I believe that is what excellent service means.
