    Frequently asked questions

When working with Actors, Models & Influencers, a constructive dialog between photographer and client is important. Sharing history and aspirations is essential too. The shoot is highly individualized, it affects color and mood. I want my client to share old and new photos of ones self. I want to see photos or tear sheets you admire. We can chat on the phone, Facetime or Zoom. I want to know what is important to you. I will ask questions and make suggestions about what I think may enhance your session. I want you to feel confident about what you can expect.

I've been shooting for over 30 years. I have a degree from the Art Institue of Chicago, majoring in theatre lighting design. My career has taken me to Hawaii, San Francisco and the NY metro area where I worked in fashion and lifestyle for major department stores and corporations.

Basic headshot sessions for models and actors begin at $195. Two or more outfits are incrimentally more ($225~350) yielding between 40 and 300 previews.

I've always been fascinated with the effect of light on people and surfaces. As a Lighting Design major in Art School I was constantly playing with lights and colors noting the moods and messages implied. Leaving the theatre environment I was attracted to commercial photography and spent several years assisting leading commercial photographers until I started shooting my own commercial work.

The largest groups of customers are actors, models and the music industry. Many live in Fairfield County and are constantly looking to present a new "look" to agencies and talent scouts. Customers who desire a fresh look for a LinkedIn headshot come to me as well.

The Real Estate business is very competitive. Typically small "Mom & Pop" companies vie for attention in the housing market. We needed to tell the story of how personal service is essential when guiding a home buyer through the process. As photographers we designed and produced images needed to communicate close one-on-one collaboration and organization necessary for a successful transaction. Understanding the clients needs is essential in our business as well.

Look for diversity in the sample images offered. This shows evidence of a positive collaborative effort between photographer and client. Consideration of costume, environmnet and mood all come into play by choice of lighting, background and accessories included in the photo.

Who is your customer? Maintaining a fresh or contemporary look is important. Crafting a tasteful presentation in costume, hair and makeup.
