About
As a long time automotive fabricator, lover of food and avid gardener I’ve always had a passion for being creative. I found that documenting the process was yet another way to express my creativity. Capturing the colors and vibrance of a flower and vegetable garden. Highlighting the fine details and craftsmanship of an Italian supercar. Displaying a breakfast sandwich in a way that looks almost too good to eat. Photography has enabled me to look closely at the things life has to offer. Often we are too busy and never take the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the moment. Being able to capture these moments in time and tell a story that will last forever is why I love being a photographer.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, my approach is designed to ensure that their vision is fully captured and translated into memorable photographs. The process begins by engaging in a thoughtful conversation about the specific moment or story they wish to capture. This helps me understand the depth of the narrative they're aiming to convey.
I then inquire about the emotions they hope to express through the photos, as capturing the right feeling is essential for impactful imagery. This includes discussing any particular locations they have in mind for the photoshoot, as the setting plays a crucial role in framing their story.
Understanding the customer's preferences further, I ask about any specific details or elements they'd like to highlight in their photos. This ensures that every important aspect is given due focus, making the images truly personal and unique.
I also explore if there's a particular story or message they envision their photos to convey, allowing me to align my creative approach with their expectations. To better connect with their vision, I inquire if any piece of my previous work resonates with them, as this gives me insight into their aesthetic preferences and what they're drawn to in photographic art.
Lastly, I ask what they consider the most important memory or feeling they want to hold onto when they look back at these photos years from now. This question is crucial as it helps me to prioritize elements in the photoshoot and ensures that the final images will be cherished for years to come.
Throughout this process, my goal is to create a comfortable and collaborative environment, allowing the customer to feel heard and understood. This ensures that the photographs we create together not only capture their moment or story beautifully but also carry a depth of emotion and meaning that is timeless.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My expertise in photography is the result of a self-taught journey, where passion and dedication have been my guiding principles. Through years of practice, experimentation, and a deep dive into the vast resources available for learning, I have honed my skills and developed a unique style that defines my work. This hands-on approach to learning has allowed me to gain practical experience across a variety of photography genres, constantly pushing the boundaries of my creativity and technical knowledge.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, I offer standard pricing packages that are tailored to accommodate the varying needs of my clients. Each package is designed to provide options that suit different requirements and budgets, ensuring that every client receives the best possible service aligned with their specific desires and expectations.
How did you get started in this business?
I transitioned from casually documenting my fabrication projects as a hobby to enhancing that hobby with a professional camera. Initially, I undertook small assignments for extra income, focusing primarily on capturing local events and dogs. Gradually, I expanded into food and real estate photography, which became a significant source of additional income. What I particularly enjoyed was the opportunity to meet new people and exchange creative ideas with them. Eventually, I made the decisive move to leave my day job and fully commit to pursuing photography as my full-time career.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have had the privilege of working with a diverse array of clients, including mothers, newborns, families, restaurant owners and their staff, realtors and homeowners, as well as pet owners with their beloved dogs and cats. My portfolio also extends to professional and corporate clients, reflecting a wide range of photography needs and styles.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Capturing the essence of parades in New York City always fills me with joy. The performers, adorned in their extravagant outfits and vibrant colors, alongside the equally flamboyant spectators, present a visual feast. Photographing these events allows me to encapsulate the emotions and energy of the day, offering a snapshot of the city's dynamic spirit and the collective joy of its people.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I think the most important thing is connection. The connection between a photographer and their client is indeed a cornerstone of creating meaningful, impactful photographs. This intangible yet profoundly significant element transcends the mere technical aspects of photography, touching on the very essence of capturing moments that resonate on a deeper emotional level.
