Hard Times Cafe opened in Old Town Alexandria in 1980. We now have 5 locations. While we are famous for our Chili and Grilled Wings we also offer full menu catering. Lets us prepare, deliver, set up, and serve all your needs. We can do everything for the event and will even take away the trash. 

Ou best talent is listening to the client and delivering what they want and envision. 

Our staff includes professional bartenders and servers to support your event. 

Catering helps us to introduce Hard Times and our talents to a larger group of people. It's fun to meet the guests and have happy clients.

Fourty  four years in the restaurant business. 

Eighteen years with Marriott Corporation.

Family run business, my wife and fellow owner is a Registered Dietician.

We have several pricing method, per person, per event or by the food. We don't quote special events without talking with conferring with the guest first. 

How did you get started in this business?

Always like the food business and joined Marriott out of school. 

What types of customers have you worked with?

Our customers are families, offices, festivals, special events, weddings, funerals and most any kind of celebrations. We have catered in fields in the country and transported all our supplies, drinks, and power.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Experience and longevity in the local market.
