What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Contact by e-mail is best. Always glad to meet in person to discuss options and work with a new customer. An on site visit may be requested if a new venue.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Started working with Barbeque while attending college. I have been opereating my catering business for 30 years. Always growing, learning and expanding what i offer.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have base menus that include pricing for basic events. We start with these base meals and the customer designs their event. I provide an event price once the menu and services needed have been selected.
How did you get started in this business?
Numerous people continued to ask for my food and services. I just continued to grow and expand my offering.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Work with many industrial customers, provide food for annual meetings, work with many non profits organizing special events and weddings with rehearsal dinners. Have worked with all types of people.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Catered the 65th birthday party of a good customer. Had approx. 100 guests af all nationalities. Enjoyed a Rib Eye Stek meal with grilled vegetables and other sides. Main entertainment was a belly dancer!
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Be sure they have experience, are organized, and dependable. Good food and plenty of it is required also.
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
Be sure you know as much as possible about your needs from the vendor. Ask for options but you should have most of your event planned before talking to vendors. Make decisions and stick to them.
