Teaism is a locally-owned restaurant with three locations in Washington DC. In a casual and comfortable quick service atmosphere, we cook from scratch with top-quality ingredients and serve close to fifty different loose leaf teas. We love delivering our healthy and delicious bento box meals for office luncheons - clean feel-good food to fuel up people to do important work! We also have terrific semi-private and private space for groups. We have lovely and affordable options for baby and bridal shower brunches and afternoon tea parties. With an eye for detail, we are great at accomodating special dietary issues and have lots of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start by getting as much information as possible about the event - guests, budget, dietary requirements - so that I can prepare a menu and proposal that is sure to please! We'll work together to make sure everything is just the way you want it. We need a credit card number to book the delivery or event, then we decide on the menu and then several days before the event we need the final guest count.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My business partner and I opened Teaism over twenty years ago. All of our guests are family and we're honored to be a part of people's special celebrations. I believe that most all of our corporate and individual clients would say they are 100% satisfied with the quality, responsiveness and value in our services.

We have a diverse menu with breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner options. We're casual but super good-quality and everything is affordable. For example, the semi-private afternoon tea buffet package that we prepare for baby and bridal showers starts at $31.25 per person. Our Lafayette Park location is available for private evening and weekend parties. We have a $750 food and beverage minimum and then tax and service takes that to $1275. This is a charming restaurant that is lovely for birthday celebrations, rehearsal dinners, happy hours, etc!
