About
I'm new to Fash but am an experienced DJ with over 70 5 Star reviews! on another booking site. This event is something you will want to remember for a long time to come! With all of the experience, different equipment and software we use planning your event is going to be easy with our recommendations and you'll be able to customize it to exactly what you are wanting including the music selections. You have a dream for your event and we are here to help that dream come to life because we truly love what we do. We are also photographers and videographers so we know how important it is for the DJ to manage the key parts of your event and communicate with the other people who support it (photographer, videographer, caterer, etc.).

We love to celebrate with you and share in the joy and unforgettable moments. When we see people truly enjoying themselves and sharing in the spirit of the event we feel so fortunate to be able to be a part of that.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I've got some great online planning tools I use to help clients to plan out their agenda/schedule for the evening, list the key events and people involved so I can be fully prepared to make the important announcements, and offer my clients many choices when it comes to special requests or types of music they'd prefer to have throughout the evening.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm an amateur musician and play the guitar, bass guitar, trumpet and a little piano. I minored in music theory and was involved in sound engineering in college. And being an engineer I have a great appreciation and understanding of the technical tools which can assist the DJ in providing great results.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The base price quoted normally includes not only the coverage requested but travel time and setup/teardown as well. For nighttime and indoor events I also provide a nice dance light setup at no additional charge. There are some options available including additional lighting (uplighting) and a second speaker setup for outdoor or separate wedding ceremonies. My wife is a photographer so we can offer package discounts if both services are used. And payment terms are pretty simple and painless. Normally a down payment of $50 to $100 (depending on the size of the job) is requested with the remaining balance due upon my arrival.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always loved to help to bring a party to life! My wife and I began helping to record the memories of your life through photography and videography. But I saw how a good DJ could really enhance an event and a bad one detract from it. This lead me to pursue my early passion for music and turn it into a love affair for providing music and entertainment to a wide variety of people. I am very hands on and don't just play the music. I really get into it and encourage everyone to get on the dance floor and have a great time. You'll often find me right out there as well. I also have the maturity and experience to know when to turn the energy up and when to moderate it. My goal is to make the evening as much fun and memorable as possible.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We do weddings quite regularly but they are all different and special. We also love Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16, and family celebrations. Corporate events and specialty events are done as well.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Pay close to attention to their profile, especially the ratings and review section. These are verified reviews and you can learn a lot about the prospective DJ by reading them. Also take a look at how long they have been in business. And look for someone who offers free planning tools and a song request playlist builder tool. When people ask me what music I like, I tell them it's not necessarily about what I like but what the client likes. I personally like a wide variety of music but do all I can to make sure I understand and have the music the client and his/her guests will enjoy. I'd also seek out a DJ who doesn't require hefty upfront downpayments and/or payment if full prior to the event. I've built my business on trust and only ask for a modest deposit with the remaining balance due upon my arrival. I've never run into a problem with this policy.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Make sure to provide as much information as possible. For example when it comes to weddings the client needs to let the DJ know if they want him to provide music during the ceremony and if it will be in a different location than the reception. And let the DJ know if there are special song considerations (i.e. foreign music, etc.). The more information the client can provide avoids misunderstandings and helps to ensure that the DJ is properly prepared to do a great job.
