Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get enough information about the shoot to quote a fair price. Edited photos are uploaded to DropBox, put on a ThumbDrive, or burned to CD. Client can then get all the printing done they want without having to go through me for additional fees.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Largely self-taught in photography. Did have a High School internship with the Palm Beach Post photo department, was photography class and Yearbook during high school, and got my AA in Journalism.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Again, I try to get information about the event and come up with a price that's fair for both of us.
How did you get started in this business?
Other photographers started offering me jobs they weren't interested in or unable to fullfil due to other commitments.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've done weddings, events, parties, family shoots, modeling shoots, etc. Most clients are individuals, and I volunteer my services for several non-profits that I'm involved with.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I always enjoy the Equestrian events and Air shows.
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Look at their website, see if their photos are in line with your expectations
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
Remember that a quote based on how many hours an event is, there's probably double that many hours after the event sorting though and editing the best photos. We can all shoot a whole lot more pictures per hour than we can edit in an hour!
