Susan is an expert on color she did a great job on our first step to help me transition to my natural gray. My hair has been tinted dark brown for years and was damaged. She was able to bring the color up to a ash blonde and l have receive tons of compliments, it not only looks great but also healthy. She tested swatches of my hair to assure the least amount of damage. So glad l found Susan she is a miracle worker.

Frequently asked questions

the first thing we like to do is get to know the client. Communication is paramount to understanding what our clients likes and dislikes are. What they are looking for in a style, how much time do you want to put into maintaining your style and of course the budget.

All of our staff have had 20 years or more behind the chair. Most of us have been salon owners ourselves so we know what it takes to keep a client happy. We keep up with current trends as well keeping the tried and true techniques for those clients who are happy with their styles and don't wish to change. Many of our clients still get perms and roller sets. While this is not the current trend it is still the best course for some of our clients to maintain the look they want.

Each of our stylist rent their station. This means each chair is run as it's own business. Though some of our prices vary from stylist to stylist They all run in a comparable range. The pricing of each service will be discussed by each stylist before the service is done.

Haircuts start at $25.00

Blow drys and roller sets $22.00

Root touch up single process $50.00

New color priced according to service needed to achieve desired results. Starting at $50.00

Permanent waves $70.00 up.

I myself started hair styling at age 18 when I graduated from Dunedin High School where I took the Cosmetology course offered as part of the regular curriculum. I have been doing hair ever since. They say if you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life. I have spent all this time doing what I love.

I bought the salon in 1986 when the previous owner moved out of state. I had been working there for 5 years previous to buying the salon.

Over the years we have worked with all types of people from a youngest first haircut to clients over 100 years old. I like to think of us as a family salon and have watched many of our clients children grow up, graduate, marry and have families of their own.

We have recently seen many of our senior clients develope demetia over the years. This is so heart breaking to see. I took care of my own husband for 10 years and learned that compassion and patience are so very important when dealing with this terrible disease. This has helped me to know how to help these clients feel secure and happy when they come in to have their hair done.

Do a bit of research. If you see someone with a style/cut you like ask them who they go to. Be willing to pay for good service. Be sure the salon uses good products. Don't let a stylist sell you on something you don't want or can't maintain.

The first thing to consider is will my hair really do what I want it to do? Is the style I'm looking for something I can and willing to maintain? How much time am I willing to spend each day to keep it looking good? How much am I willing to spend to keep the cut/ color/ condition looking it's best?
