About

At Photobiak Photography, I long to create the best possible interaction with each client. I am an artist and self-taught photographer and have been loving it since 2002! It's been quite the journey over the years and I have experimented with a lot of different techniques and lighting, be it with cheap and expensive equipment.

I enjoy getting to work with others because I love to have that special one on one experience. Getting to hear about your goals, achievements, fears and motivations.. your overall story. Getting to know you, allows me to help you find the best way to capture beautiful images tailored just for you! Each session is special and unique because, it is yours. I always aim for a relaxed get together and we only do what you are comfortable with.

I am of a creative background with art, so I love to experiment with new and different things. Every photo shoot is a chance to express myself in a new way and I love getting to watch myself grow as an artist and photographer. My happiness comes from seeing how I can be of service to you, to tell your story. Whatever it may be.. let's make it a beautiful one.

Frequently asked questions

The best way is to have a little chat with the potential new client. See what they would like to accomplish with a photo shoot. I love to hear about a persons story. What makes them who they are. Everyone has a story, everyone is different. I think that helps me to tailor the session to them and make it special because then it becomes more than just a photo.. it is a moment in time of their story.

I am a self-taught photographer.

I have 4 packages for weddings based on what a clients needs are and how much coverage they would like photographed.

I also do an hourly rate for shooting as well as a per photo price if the client only needs a few images taken.

I try to have a variety because not everyones needs are the same.

In college, I had to create graphic design layouts and could never quite find stock photos of what I wanted.. so one day I asked a friend to pose for me and I remember it was on a 35mm film camera. So I couldn't even see what I was shooting while it was happening. After that, I just kind of fell in love with being behind a camera. It wasn't always amazing photos, but with each new time I shot, I tried to learn what I didn't like about the photos and take that in to consideration the next time I photographed anything. I always played with new exposures, and lighting. Everything was just fun. My love for it grew and I never looked back.

I've worked with all kinds of clients, young to older and several different ethnic backgrounds.

I am always moved by every shoot I do. Every time has a different feel to it. But they all teach you something about yourself as a person and an artist. I like to push myself with each new session and try something different. If it doesn't work, then I know for next time.. but if it does work, I've just learned something cool and pushed myself out of my comfort zone. Every event is a chance to try something new and that is what I look forward to each and every time.

Check out potential photographers in the area. Everyone has a different style of how they take photos. Get to know the style of what you're wanting and go with the artist that best compliments what you're looking for.

Most people want pictures but they don't really think too much on what they are wanting to do. Think about the style of shoot, is there a theme.. Themes are great.. because it gets our professional brain pumping with ideas ;)

What is the reason for the shoot? (Birthday, wedding, engagement, just for fun?)

Is it just for one person, will there be any additional? (families, head shots...)

Do you picture these inside or out door somewhere? (on the beach, in a flower garden, a certain room of your house)

Are you just looking for one or two good photos or do you want a bunch?

What is your budget to put towards this shoot? (if you're just looking for one or two pictures it could help both you and your photographer figure out the best package price for your money and their time)
