Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most services require a consultation: color, highlights, transformations. All consultations are $20 per 30 minutes. My desire is to be on the same page with accomplishing all of your hair care needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. Trained with Design Essentials. Licensed professional for 25 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Service pricing is based off of the length and thickness of your hair. Referral program is offered (first referral is $10 off of your next visit once referral receives a service -- $5 thereafter). Bring a Friend with you discounts are available ($10 off of your service).
How did you get started in this business?
Started out cutting my Barbie doll's hair. Each one had a different haircut! I began shampooing my junior year of high school and the owner allowed me to perform simple wrap styles.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have a wide range of clientele. I've worked with all types of hair. I've worked with the pickiest to the most laid back individuals on the planet.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for years of experience. Check out their work on social media. Read the reviews on their page. Word of mouth is also a good tool.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should think about what they wish to accomplish during the process. Pictures are most helpful when the stylist can visualize what you cannot explain. Knowing your budget is also a factor. Ask about pricing. Get an idea of what you may be spending before you receive services.
