What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I am a believer a phone conversation, or consultation in my office, or client home is best, but text or e-mail for a basic inquirey or appointment.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a graduate of a photography school in California, however I am now an instructor at Ringling College, formaly on the faculity of Eckard College, Director of Education JPI, Yosemite Conservancy, My on Education and Photographic Travel Adventure Co. , Safari Ventures, Yosemite Director of Photographic Tours, more references on request....

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My basic Rate is $100 an hour photo time or post production. Image files and licence available from 100% of the original cost of the shoot. I do have portrait and wedding packages available on my website:

I am always willing to create a coustom package depending on your needs and estimate on request

How did you get started in this business?

Believe it or not, I became interested in photography at about age seven. After high school,  I ended up going to a freelance photography school and have been a comerical photographer ever since. You can see me tell the story in an interview by the Creo Institute:

What types of customers have you worked with?

Currently I am doing mostly magizine covers and features, Business Portraits, Head Shots, Arial, Food and Product Photography. Realestate interiors, exteriers and some events.

I do coustom printing on almost any media, canvas, fart rag papers metal and more. Photo books hardcover, soft cover leather.

Coustom mounting stretching canvas, mounting & matting.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

One of the best equine photographers in the country, crediting me for her continued knowledge and photographic ability. Seeing several of my students achive success in their photography as business or as an artist, with shows and publication.

Being the cover photography for one of the most prestiges magazines in the area.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

In this day of anything goes in the wilde west, anything goes world of the internet. A good website is not necessarly an indicator of a good photographer, it's the sign of a good web designer. Edgy pictures are nice and creativity is important, but if you are having a wedding you will want a photographer that is not only creative but has the ability to do the tradiditional formal shots as well. The photographer should be able to demonstrate control of the lighting. You should be able to see the subjects eyes as well as detail in the background, be it the ambient light in a churvh, or a back yard nightime garden party.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Think about what you know you want, ask the photographer for their recomendation. Don't pay for what you want before you see the images. Packages are nice and can save money, but if the photographer is confident in their work, they can always create a package for you after the event, when you see what possibilites the images provide.
