About
My love of photography, music, and any creative outlet is my driving force. I'll be the first to admit that I'm quite “authentic” and a drive for capturing intriguing images, I strive to defy the laws of a boring picture. Whatever the occasion, I'm always looking to catch the magic on camera before the moment passes.
I enjoy learning the way most people hate. Trial and error. Whatever it is that is striking my fancy you better believe I'm already owning a second one (because the first broke), not sleeping because i’m obsessed with learning about it, and loving every minute of it. In order to operate, I literally need to drive myself crazy. And it’s totally worth it.

I picked up a guitar at seven years old and finally realized that there was more to being a grown up than I had ever anticipated. Here I am, a kid with a bowl cut, sitting at my grandma’s house, holding this cheap acoustic guitar in my hand with every song at my mercy. I didn’t know how to play the infamous “Free Bird” solo or Stairway To Heaven, so I played with my ear (yep, my ear). Not literally, though. I picked each note and made up chords until it resembled a familiar song. From there, I continued to figure out how to play the rest of that song. What song, you ask? “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, which by the way is the same melody as the ABC's. - Mind blown.
It’s a lame metaphor that should be used by all musicians at some point in their life, but I digress.Twenty years later, I look back and realize that teaching myself that song single-handedly influenced my business development, decision making, and career goals.Divergent thinking pushes up against what’s already in place, and whether you like it or not, that is what sparks innovation. Bringing this mindset into a developed strategic sourcing role of course brought obstacles, but that’s the whole point. I’ve climbed over, walked around, and crawled under every idea that was said to be “set in stone”, took a huge sledgehammer, and smashed that stone into a million pieces. Then had band practice afterwards.
Rock On.– I told you about the puns
