Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to meet with my new couples, however that is not always possible as many of my clients are in other states. I am happy to Skype or talk on the phone and go over all of the specific details that you required during your shoot. The engagement or Boudoir session is always included complementary in all of my wedding packages. this is the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other and get a feel for how each person works as well as create a connection and bond. This is imperative so that you are fully relaxed and comfortable during your wedding.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
my pricing is reflective of what I have to offer. I come equipped with back up gear for my back up gear, lighting, insurance, and a team of qualified Photographers when second and third shooters are required. I make every effort to keep myself within reason and affordable. At the same time, I don't believe in cutting cost by hiring newbie Photographers that will work for less. I want to provide my customers with quality work all around.
How did you get started in this business?
Something happened to me when I was conceived.. Im pretty sure a roll of 120 film made its way into my DNA... after all, I was 6 when I won my first photo contest.. Since then, I have gone on win several awards and my work has been published many times.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I can't even begin to describe my typical customer, as they are all unique and amazing in their own way. I have been blessed to have maintained a great friendship with each and every one over the years.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The number one piece of advice I give all of my couples... Ask to see a full gallery, and pay close attention to the reception photos. Most every photographer can give you decent portraits, but, can they bring the night to life? Are they equipped to handle low light situations.. or are you going to be stuck with blurry or grainy photos?
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
A common issue in the wedding industry are photographers calling themselves "natural light Photographers". Natural light is a beautiful source and makes for amazing images when used in the right circumstances. However, this becomes a very big issue for events where there isn't much light. Your images will come back under exposed or very "grainy". Ask your Photographer if she/he is equipped to handle low light situations and if they are skilled in OCF (off camera lighting). Ask to see full wedding photos, including reception images.
